Slow bite at LV

Trout bite remains on the slow side despite two weeks of plants. Another plant is due this week. Most stripers hooked are shakers, but an 8 pound striper was caught with a Rat-l-Trap in Howden Cove. Big cats are being caught with cut bait in Cowboy Cove. A striper derby is underway. Register at the Marina. Cost is $5. (925) 371-2628
