Hyatt Lake Fishing Report

The reservoir remains at 40 percent full, and should be cooling down to the mid to low 60’s. The Bureau of Land Management has closed the main campground at Hyatt Lake along with the two associated boat ramps, although Wildcat boat ramp remains open. Angler access is primarily from the bank along Hyatt Prairie Road.

Fishing for largemouth bass is still a good option. As temperatures decrease the warmwater species should begin to be more accessible close to shore. The parking area near the dam has been closed by the Bureau of Reclamation this season as the agency begins repairs on the dam.
