In an improvement over recent years, Phillips Reservoir filled to nearly ¾ full last year before beginning to drop again. It currently is about 1/3 full. Almost 20,000 trout were stocked last year and should provide a good fishing opportunity. Follow this link to see the Bureau of Reclamation website listing current reservoir levels.
Recent reports are that with the mild weather, ice conditions are unsuitable for ice fishing. If colder weather returns, the ice may begin to thicken. However, anglers should use extreme caution and carefully evaluate ice conditions before traveling onto the reservoir.
Remember that tiger musky and bull trout must be released unharmed.
