Recent rains are like pushing Chinook upriver, but a few may be found near the head of tide. Closed to all Chinook harvest Dec. 1. Open for hatchery Steelhead all year. Wild coho is not open in Smith River.
The area above Spencer creek opens to hatchery steelhead Dec. 1 through April 30.
