Large trout in June Loop

A lot of 3 to 4 pound trout are being caught. Best way to go is baitfishing with nightcrawlers or garlic Power Bait. Reeds or beach area are yielding trout. June Lake Marina (760) 648-7726; Fishing results continue to be uneven. Some score, some get shut-out. South side of the lake near the campground is the hot spot. Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; Both shore and boat anglers are getting action. A good showing of 6 to 8 pound trout are being landed by boaters using nightcrawlers. Mice Tails also are a good bet. Red and gold Thomas Buoyant works best for trollers. Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
