Trout fishing continues be very good. Trout in the three pound range are being caught daily. Bait fishing works best. Otherwise, trolling from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. near the shelf off the beach area is worthwhile. June Lake Marina (760) 648-7726; Trout bite is quite good. Trollers and bait dunkers both are getting fish. Shore fishing has been productive. A 3 pound brown was caught from the park. Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; Excellent action here for trout to 2 to 4 pounds. Limits are tough, but bigger fish are the rule. Trolling and shore fishing are both productive.
