Heat takes toll at Lafayette

The hot spots for bass, bluegill, and catfish were in the eastern cove as well as the docks that line the northwestern shore of the reservoir. The heat this week has kept a lot of fisherman away and made the bite slow. Next catfish plant is scheduled for Wednesday August 19th for 1,200 lbs from Mt. Lassen Hatchery. Thath will be our final catfish plant of the season, bringing the season total to 12,500 lbs of catfish. We will begin trout plant in late September depending upon weather conditions (925) 284-9669
