Anglers are starting to target early winter steelhead in the Elkton area. Only hatchery steelhead maybe harvested.
Umpqua River, South
The South opens to angling Dec. 1 though April 30 for hatchery steelhead and hatchery Coho.
Umpqua River, North
A few winter steelhead are starting to cross Winchester Dam. It is still a little early for winter steelhead, so angler effort is low. Only hatchery steelhead maybe harvested. Coho are moving through as well, but there is no retention of wild fish.
