Montana Fish Report

Fishing is good to excellent.  Good numbers of steelhead from Hwy 70 to the bicycle bridge. Best fishing is in the morning with steelhead keying on salmon fry along the edges. Swinging pond smelt and alevin patterns on a switch rod with a Rio Switch line is producing some violent slashing grabs. High stick nymphing green caddis pupa, blue win olive nymphs, bright egg patterns, and flashy attractor nymphs in pockets and riffles are getting the best action in the afternoon.
