Steelhead in upper end, stripers in lower Feather

Steelhead quality is good but numbers are down. Flashy nymphs work well as do alevins, San Juan worms and yellow sucker spawn. Find fish below the hatchery and the Low Flow. Striper bite has been quite good. A 53 pounder was caught-and-released below Shanghai Bend. Pencil Popper, swim baits, cut bait, jumbo minnows - you name it - will work. Lots of 10 to 25 pound bass have been landed. Boats can be launched at Boyd's Pump and anglers work upstream. Shore anglers do well at Beer Can Beach.
