Hatchery coho are returning to the North Fork Nehalem and fishing has been fair. Some fish are getting dark but we are still seeing plenty of bright fish coming in and opportunity to catch them.
Hatchery winter steelhead continue to returned to the trap at Nehalem hatchery, and a few fish are getting caught. The hatchery recycled approximately 20 fish downstream last week. The low water and cold temperatures have slowed fish movement this week but with warmer temps and a little rain coming there should be another push of fish over the weekend.
