Shaver Lake anglers are still experiencing slow fishing. Dick Nichols of Dick's Fishing Charters said he fished with a couple clients this past week and confirmed fishing was very poor. They caught only one fish and had about 4 other hits. "We trolled the entire lake with exception of Boy Scout Cove and were very disappointed in the action", Nichols said. "It might be a while before good fishing action returns", he continued. He also warns trollers that the second year kokanee are showing up and all should be released without bringing them into the boat. The second year kokes are about 9 to 10 inches. Bank fishermen have had some luck mainly around roads 1 and 2 and the Sierra Marina. Nichols said that he saw a nice two pound rainbow caught at the Sierra Marina and a few more swimming around. Power Bait or crawlers have been the best bait for bankies. Dick Nichols (559) 841-3317
