A 1,000 pound plant of trout went in Monday. Trout bite is best at South Cove, but fair results can be had just past the rock wall. Trollers do well in Howden Cove and near the dam. Biggest trout of the week was a 7.6 pounder caught by Gabriel Camarillo of Mountan House, who was using Mice Tails in South Cove. Runner up was a 7.2 pounder caught by Jaime Lopez at the Rock Wall. Striper action has improved. Limits of stripers in the 19 to 24 inch range are being caught. Both shore anglers and boaters are doing well. The right side of the Marina, the Marina dock and the rock wall is a good place to cast cut anchovies. Boaters go to Howden, Peninsula and Cox coves for striper action. (925) 371-2628
